Board Meeting, 3/26/2025

Meeting was called to order by President Bill Berry at 2:35 pm

Present were, Bill Berry – President, Russ Veenema – Vice President, Jim Jaqubino – Secretary/Historian, Steve Collatz – Treasurer, Richard Clendening – Competition Chairman, Robert Bourns – Team Captain

Absent were, Ron Grant – Handicap Chairman, Harry Phillips – Rules Chairman and Don Flores – WA Golf Representative

There were no guests present

There was a discussion about the upcoming Four Course Clash to be held at White Horse Golf Club on April 9th. At this time one more player was needed to complete the team.

Bill Berry announced that past members Art Weida and Jim Gillaci have passed away. Spelling may be incorrect, no disrespect intended.

Treasurer Steve Collatz announced that the bank balance is $5467.90, and the membership is at 171 vs 155 at this time last year. He had high praise for the Member Planet app making it much easier to keep track of membership signups, etc. March expenses were $300 to CAD for the Spring Opener.

Russ Veenema announced the age shooters from recent events will be posted to the Men’s Club bulletin board. Also, hole in one recipient. Towels and Certificates will be awarded. Hole in one and age shooter awards will be presented at no cost to the member when achieved on a Men’s Club event day with the option to purchase when accomplished on any other day.

Robert Bourns discussed the home and home upcoming events as well as the possibility of setting up playing opportunities at other clubs by signup and acquiring tee times as needed, as a group outing. Bill had some excellent suggestions for playing at very nice clubs. It was noted that our course was second to none at this time of year and will only get better.

Richard Clendening and the Board discussed that going forward members must signup and pay by the deadline when a blind draw will be necessary for a team event. No exceptions. If you are late to sign up you will be put on a wait list and contacted if an opening occurs. Board approved unanimously.
